We are pleased to announce that, for the 8th year in a row, Michael J. Longyear has been named as a Washington Super Lawyer for 2008 by Washington Law and Politics magazine. Mike serves as guardian of the estate, trustee, and estate administrator in routine and complex or contested matters. He currently serves on the Certified Professional Guardian Board and as a trustee of the WSBA Elder Law Executive Committee. He is a past chair of the KCBA Guardianship and Elder Law Section, a past chair of the WSBA Elder Law Section, a past Co-Chair of the Title 11.88 Mandatory Guardian ad Litem Training Program and a past Co-Chair of the Minor Settlement (SPR98.16W) Training Program. He is on the King County Superior Court Guardian ad Litem Registry and the Settlement Guardian ad Litem Registry. Mike is also a member of the Real Property, Trust, and Probate Sections of the KCBA and the WSBA. He also serves on the board of various non-profit organizations.
